Anti-inflammatory in injectable solution, derived from pyrazolone with analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory action in injectable solution.

Anti-inflammatory is indicated to treat arthritis problems, foot conditions, lameness, mastitis, and in general for the treatment of inflammatory processes, pain, and fever.

COMPOSITION:
Phenylbutazone 200 mg
Dexamethasone 0.25 mg
Excipient c.b.p 1 ml

MECHANISM OF ACTION: It focuses on the inhibition of cyclooxygenase (an enzyme that catalyzes the transformation of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins, prostacyclins, and thromboxanes). The effects have been shown to be due to the inhibition of prostaglandin biosynthesis, which act as peripheral pain mediators, stimulators of endogenous pyrogen synthesis, and mediators of the inflammatory process. It also has a slight action of increasing uric acid excretion in the urine and inhibiting platelet aggregation.

TARGET SPECIES: Equine, canines, and felines.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Intramuscular and intravenous.

DOSE:
Adult horses: 30 ml on the 1st day, 20 ml on the 2nd day, and then 10 ml a day,
for 4-6 days.
Foals: 10 ml on the 1st day and subsequently 5 ml a day, for 4-6 days.
Companion animals: 1 ml / 15 kg b.w. per day, for 5 days.

Withdrawal period: Not precise. (Do not use horses and calves intended for human consumption).

Expiration period: 3 years from the date of manufacture

Commercial presentation: 20 and 100 ml containers
