Product Description
INTERACTION WITH OTHER DRUGS: May displace other drugs (oral anticoagulants, other anti-inflammatory agents, and sulfonamides) and affect serum levels and their duration.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS: Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to the active ingredient. Do not administer to animals with hematological alterations, gastrointestinal ulcers, or hepatic, renal, or cardiac insufficiency. Use with caution in ponies as they are more susceptible to adverse effects. May cause gastrointestinal effects, decreased renal blood flow, and blood dyscrasias. Do not use it in pregnant females. Administer only intravenously.
RPM Butamax is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, with antipyretic and anti-inflammatory analgesic action; indicated for the treatment of various alterations associated with the musculoskeletal system; One of the greatest therapeutic uses is in acute laminitis; arthritis, spondylitis, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, acute tenosynovitis, capsulitis, bursitis, and rheumatism, reducing pain and tissue inflammation, as well as fever in viral infections; RPM Butamax is used to increase the reproductive life of aged horses and camels suffering from osteoarthritis and other painful conditions in the legs. In dogs, it is also indicated in acute uveitis, chorioretinitis, endophthalmitis, cornea, and eyeball injuries.
COMPOSITION:
Phenylbutazone – 20 gr
Excipients q.s. – 100mL
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Horses: 2.5-4 mL/100 kg of b.w. on the 1st day, then 1-2 mL/100 kg of b.w. (for 6 to 8 days).
Camels: 5-10 mL/100 kg of b.w. on the 1st day, then 1.25-2.5 mL/100 kg of b.w.
Dogs: 1 mL/10 kg of b.w. 2 to 3 times/day (no more than 4 mL/animal and for no more than 3 to 4 days).
Apply deep intramuscular or intravenous route.
